The original hotel situated at the front of the property was built in 1858 and has operated as a licensed premises ever since.

The hotel is now a wine bar ad bistro serving superb Mediterranean-influenced food and the best regional wines.

The famous Wesley Hill market , open every Saturday morning is directly opposite. The locals make the most of our superb coffee and delicious pastries after browsing this electic market.

Estabished in 1858 the Albion at that time offered two rooms to travellers and gold miners. We now offer seven stylish rooms to the traveller and explorer of Castlemaine and its regions.

Eco-Friendly AAA Tourism classification. We comply with minimum carbon emissions. recycling; eco-friendly cleaning products; local produce and suppliers; energy efficient lighting.

Tariffs: Queen Sunday to Tuesday's $120 per night (couple), Friday and Saturday's $125 per night (couple). King Sunday to Tuesday's $135 per night (couple), Friday and Saturday's $145 per night (couple). Deluxe Sundat to Tuesday's $140 per night (couple), Friday and Saturday's $150 per night (couple).
